Scintilla sýnir nýja línu af heimilistextíl í Spark Design Space á fyrsta degi Hönnunarmars þann 24. mars næstkomandi. Þetta er önnur lína Scintilla af heimilistextíl þar sem áhersla er lögð á framsækna grafík og vönduð náttúruleg efni. Hluti af vörunum er aðeins framleiddur í takmörkuðu upplagi fyrir sýninguna. Í vörulínunni má skynja ferska strauma í íslenskri hönnun þar sem beinn innblástur frá náttúrunni er á undanhaldi og kraftmiklir litir og framandi formheimur er kynntur til leiks.

Scintilla vörurnar eru hannaðar af Lindu Björg Árnadóttur, fata- og textílhönnuði. Linda Björg hefur 15 ára reynslu af textílhönnun en hún hefur starfað fyrir tískufyrirtæki í Frakklandi og á Ítalíu auk þess að hafa stýrt Tískuhönnunarbraut Listaháskóla Íslands undanfarin 9 ár.

Scintilla is the home textiles company that brings avant-garde ideas from fashion into home decor. Linda Björg Árnadóttir, Scintilla's creative director, thrived for years in the Paris fashion industry and is now bringing her strong graphic design onto a range of products for the home: bedding, towels, pillows, and more.

Scintilla products are bold and distinctive, much like their designer. The new collection from Scintilla features strikingly intriguing graphics. The trademark visuals defy definition –is it a feather? A bug? A face? A mask? What you see may well have more to do with who you are.

Scintilla is a remarkable fusion of fashion and decor. Linda has worked for more than 12 years designing textiles for fashion houses in Paris. She is a longtime collaborator of cult fashion designer Martine Sitbon, and is currently Head of the Fashion Department at the Iceland Arts Academy.

“Through the years I’ve collected designs that didn’t quite work in fashion but were more great for home textiles,” says Linda of her designs. “My colors are very important to me and I like to put together unusual shades and patterns.” Scintilla products have a futuristic style –while at the same time offering the security of a vintage feel.
